FROM DIFFERENT SOURCES

End-to-end digitalization throughout the entire product lifecycle is essential if products are to be developed, manufactured and operated in an economic and sustainable manner. OpenPDM makes it possible for you to link different data sources and make decisions based on consistent, up-to-date data, regardless of whether you are operating your systems on-premises or in the cloud. The connectors that OpenPDM offers provide a uniform interface to all leading PLM, ERP and ALM systems.
PROSTEP is currently developing a comprehensive range of predefined system integrations. Bidirectional integration solutions for the following system combinations are currently available as SaaS offerings in the AWS cloud:

  • PTC Arena PLM <-> Atlassian
  • PTC Arena PLM <-> SAP S/4HANA
  • PTC Arena PLM <-> SAP R/3
  • PTC Arena PLM <-> MS Dynamics 365

In addition to the new SaaS offering, other system combinations with any level of complexity are available as on-premises solutions.

Connectivity à la carte

You can use the OpenPDM connectors on-premises, in your private cloud or as software as a service (SaaS). You will find all available connectors here. And here is our current SaaS offering, which is constantly being expanded.

Automated integration

In order to automate the integration solution, OpenPDM offers a powerful workflow engine that can be used as a container in any cloud environment.

Mapping the data schemas

The various data schemas are mapped and harmonized using the mapping engine. It can also be used as a container in any cloud environment.

Configuration without programming

The system integrations can be used practically as they are. They can be implemented in less than an hour and can be configured without any need for programming.

All services from a single source

PROSTEP takes care of implementing and configuring the SaaS integrations, as well as providing ongoing support and maintenance.

Any changes that the user makes in Arena PLM are automatically synchronized with Jira, including attached documents such as PDF, Word and Excel files, and the status for changes is updated in both systems.

In the case of issues or error messages that the user creates in Arena PLM, the SaaS integration automatically generates a corresponding ticket in Jira and keeps the tickets in both systems synchronized even after changes have been made.

Product information, such as BOMs, article master data and parts master data, and change orders are automatically transferred to SAP R/3 or SAP S/4HANA using the respective SaaS integration and updated when changes are made. Data transfer is logged and can be monitored in a dashboard.
